Built so a candidate knows where they stand
JAMBUDDY is a study bot for the UTME. It lives inside Telegram, it uses real past questions, and it is priced at roughly what it costs to run.
Most candidates are revising blind
Nearly everyone preparing for the UTME knows the cut-off for the course they want. Almost nobody knows how far below it they currently are, and fewer still know why — which specific topics, out of a syllabus running to hundreds, are quietly taking the marks.
So revision turns into guesswork. People re-read the chapters they already understand, because that feels productive, and avoid the ones they do not, because that feels bad. The first honest feedback arrives on results day, when nothing can be done with it.
JAMBUDDY exists to move that feedback forward by three months.
One engineer, and a name you can check
I’m Gbolagade Winner, a senior backend and blockchain engineer in Lagos, Nigeria. I build JAMBUDDY myself: the bot, this website and every study guide on it.
It rests on one idea. A candidate should find out how far they are from their cut-off months before results day, not on it. Everything else follows from that: real past questions instead of invented ones, the working instead of just the answer letter, and a price set at what the servers cost, so a student on a cracked phone gets exactly what everyone else gets.
Nobody else owns a piece of it — not a tutorial centre, a publisher or a school — and nobody buys your data. If a question, an answer or a payment is wrong, I’m the one who fixes it.

Four things, and not much else
Real past questions
Over 20,000 of them, across English and 20 elective subjects. Get one wrong and the working appears straight away, so the same mistake does not repeat.
Timed exams, scored out of 400
Sit a full mock under the clock and see a predicted score weeks before JAMB shows you theirs. Uncomfortable, and the most useful number you will have.
The topics costing you marks
Every answer is recorded. The point is not the score, it is the pattern underneath it: what you keep getting wrong, named topic by topic.
A daily challenge at 11am
Free whether you subscribe or not, because a daily habit is worth more than any single feature here.
What JAMBUDDY is not
-
Not JAMB.
Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. Past questions are used for revision.
-
Not a prediction of your result.
The predicted score is an estimate built from the questions you answered here. It is a guide to what to study next, not a forecast.
-
Not expo, runs, or a leaked paper.
Anyone selling you tomorrow's questions is lying to you, and some of them do it using our name. We have nothing to do with them.
-
Not a shortcut.
Nothing here replaces doing the work. It tells you where to point the work.
₦300 a month is a server bill, not a business
It covers hosting, the database holding every answer you have given, and the model that works out which topics are costing you marks. There is not much left over, and that is deliberate.
A candidate revising on a cracked phone somewhere with bad network should get exactly the same product as one in Lekki. If you can afford it and someone you know cannot, you can pay for them. If you cannot afford it yourself, the daily challenge stays free.
Data, and who to talk to
We store your Telegram ID, the subjects you choose, one contact detail, and the record of questions you have answered — because that last part is the product. We do not sell it and we do not share it for advertising. The privacy policy names every third party that touches it and why.
The fastest way to reach us is the bot itself, @jamb_buddy_bot. For anything about your data, or to have your account deleted, email privacy@jambuddy.xyz.
