What a good group actually gives you
- News, fast. When JAMB changes a date or releases results, a busy group hears about it within minutes.
- Company. Preparing alone for months is hard. Seeing other people working helps you keep going.
- Answers to practical questions about registration centres, printing slips and what exam day is like, from people who have just done it.
What a group cannot do
It cannot make you practise. A group full of past-question PDFs feels productive: you download, you save, you forward. But saving a file is not answering a question. Most of those PDFs are never opened, and the ones that are come with an answer key and no working, so a wrong answer teaches you nothing.
A group also cannot tell you where you are weak. It is the same messages for ten thousand people, whether you are scoring 150 or 290.
The scams to walk away from
Every year, Telegram fills up with people selling "expo", "runs", leaked questions, or a guaranteed score upgrade. They are all scams. Nobody can sell you the questions before the exam, and nobody can change your result for a fee. The pattern is always the same: a small payment first, then a bigger one to "unlock" the rest, then silence.
- Anyone asking for money to guarantee a score is lying.
- An "admin" who messages you privately first is almost never an admin.
- Treat any group or channel as unofficial unless jamb.gov.ng itself links to it.
A group versus a practice bot
These are different tools. A group is a crowd; a bot is a one-to-one chat that sends you questions and marks your answers.
| Telegram group | Practice bot | |
|---|---|---|
| What arrives | Whatever members post | Questions in your four subjects |
| Wrong answers | You may never find out | Marked immediately, with the working |
| Your weak topics | Unknown | Tracked from every answer |
| Timed mocks | No | Yes, with a score out of 400 |
| Noise | Hundreds of messages a day | Only your own questions |
The sensible setup is one of each: a single well-run group for news, muted, and a practice tool you open every day.
How to start practising in Telegram
JAMBUDDY is a Telegram bot, not a group. Nobody else sees your chat or your scores.
- Open @jamb_buddy_bot and tap Start. There is no form, email or password.
- Pick your combination: Science, Engineering, Commercial or Arts in one tap, or choose your own three electives. English is added automatically.
- Answer. Questions arrive as quizzes in the chat, and each wrong answer comes back with the working.
Every morning at 11am there is a five-question challenge in each of your subjects, aimed at the topics you are weakest in.
Questions people ask
Is there an official JAMB Telegram group?
Treat any Telegram group or channel as unofficial unless JAMB's own website, jamb.gov.ng, links to it. Take dates, fees and results only from official JAMB channels.
Are JAMB expo and runs real?
No. Nobody can sell the questions before the exam or change a result for money. Anyone offering that is running a scam.
Is JAMBUDDY a Telegram group?
No. It is a bot: a private one-to-one chat that sends you past questions in your subjects, marks your answers with the working, runs timed mocks and tracks your weak topics.
Can I get JAMB past questions on Telegram?
Yes. Groups share them as PDFs. A practice bot like JAMBUDDY sends them to you as questions, marks your answers and shows the working.
Stop collecting PDFs. Start answering. JAMBUDDY sends real past questions in your four subjects, marks every answer with the working and shows your score out of 400. Free for 14 days, inside Telegram. Open @jamb_buddy_bot.
